And here she is, the star of the show in all her zaney glory. Firstly, I have to say it. I hate that face. I did it several times and never worked out right...I'm probably come back to it again later. I think it's the mouth thats the problem, the eyes are ok now.
Anyway, the base for Ally is a Buffy II. She had previously actually been my Lana Lang custom, but I was never the slightest bit happy with that figure, and there are official Smallville toys anyway, so I sacrificed her for the greater good....or for the greater lawyer anyway. The angle of the photo doesn't really show, but I straightenned out Buffy's right leg, so she stands straight now instead of that leg sticking out in a walking sort of pose. I also cut away the hair from about chin-level and resculpted it. I like Ally with longer hair so I went with that. Looking at it, the paintwork on the legs looks rather shabby too doesn't it? I'll go back to that at some point too. I originally put her in a promo-photo outfit I liked with a flat red top and glossy red pants, but although that looked good in person, it wasn't really working for the figure so I made the legs black instead. |
