Stranger than Paradise . . . Technically the Hedon Road pictures have been quite a challenge: dependent on the weather and very long (8 to 10 minute) exposures, plus flash to properly expose large areas. Getting on top of the technical challenges has been hard work and has meant a constantly shifting balance between aspirations and what has been realistically achievable. |

Left: the camera used for the project produced a massive 6x17cm panoramic transparency, but using it at night by torchlight didn't exactly make for a fast and trouble free shooting. |
