As we continue to search for our image of wide scope, we must look to additional external factors which impacted us strongly during childhood. Whereas in the first project our realm of inquiry was restricted to particularly memorable childhood experiences within a familial setting, the second project invites inquiry as to entertainment works which have created indelible mental images which we have unconsciously carried with us throughout childhood. This entertainment work can be that of a television program, a movie, a novel or even a comic book. The important criteria to keep in mind is not the type of medium but the relevance of the particular work to the project, and our eventual discovery of the image of wide scope. After choosing our influential entertainment work, we must look at the ways in which creative minds of the past have dealt with similar influences with regards to their own creative processes and outputs. In doing so, we take a closer look at Roland Barthes "Empire of Signs," and the testimonies contained in "Uncontrollable Bodies."
