Escaflowne is a really outstanding show with just a few flaws. But lets talk about the good first. The stuff in the show is so cool. All of the mechs are awesome, especially the hidden enemy mechs, which use liquid metal swords. In one scene, a liquid metal blade around a mile long is formed. Stuff like that is just too cool. The fighting borders on incredible, you have to see it to believe it. One of the cool parts is that all of the mechs use melee weapons, no guns, except for the hidden enemy flamethrowers. Another cool moment is when this dude fights mechs without one, using a huge sword!
But the show has a darkside. It has a lot of magic in it, even tarot cards. There is also talk of escaflowne(a mech) being a god. And let's face it, no one wants to see the dopplegangers butt.
Still, overall, the show rocks a lot, you gotta see some of this stuff to believe it!.
Ofensible content- Violence, lots of magic stuff, talk of death, and a doppelgangers butt. Even the fox kids version shows the butt. I do not know why.
Total score- 9 of 10, really great, but once again, the magic makes me not like it as much. Would have been 10 cept' for that. By Milo |
