Digimon is actually much better than it looks. At first, it seems like a Pokemon knock off, but it quickly establishes itself as one of the best animes around. It has awesome fighting and really great character development. It has a rich history and really witty humor. You'll laugh a lot. It is also full of truly emotional moments that are really touching, and usually trigger a cool event. This is the kind of anime that will have you remebering its great moments for years to come, really worth it to watch. The movie is also great, taking the action to the next level. Ihope they make another movie. Also, the movie is extremely funny. I bet most people would be surprised how good it is. People shrug it off because it's a "kids show", but give it a chance, you won't be disapointed!
Offensible content- Medium violence, mostly between monsters. When the monsters die, the just turn tom dust. There are some fights between humans, but not that many, and they aren't graphic. There are also some intense moments when characters, mostly monsters, die. These dead characters usually come back though, didgimon are reconfigured when they die. There are a couple episodes where there are flasbacks of people dying and the emotions caused by that are shown. The movie is basically the same, but the violence is slightly intensified.
