The Ryodan originated in the Ryuuseigai (The City of the Shooting Star or Meteor City), a place that is said to not exist. Inside this city, the people are uncounted and no one quite knows what goes on it there. The Ryodan began with 6 original members (plus Kuroro): Kuroro, Machi, Pakunoda, Feitan, Franklin, Uvogin and Nobunaga.
It is predicted that they come from Meteor City. Here, anyone is allowed to throw away anything like trash or weapons, corpses or babies, basically anything in this world you throw away. The inhabitants there will accept everything. It has around the same land area as the Rapay Republic, which is about the same land area as the Tokyo and Saitama prefectures together. It is said that there’s 8 million people living there now, but there’s no reason behind it. In official records, it’s written that it’s inhabited. From over 1500 years ago, it’s written as a disposal area of wastes. Nobody knows how the people live, what they believe in, and what they’re taught in there. The only message the people left recently is this:
"We will not reject anything
so do not rob anything from us"
