The Dogs Pencil
The Dogs Pencil embrace passionate musical influences from east coast skate punk, old style UK punk, all things heavy and harmonious with a healthy injection of hard guitar pop.

Initially drawing from bands like Greenday, Lit, Wheatus, Blink182 and Sum 41, the lads have created  a distinctive sound which points in all the right directions, but is still uniquely their own.  Their music defies passive listing - frustratingly catchy lead and bass riffs combine with watertight vocal harmonies and hard edged drums to demand your full and willing attention.  Throwaway lyrics you will find yourself humming a week after your first Dogs Pencil experience, which is about how long it takes your ears to stop ringing.
Tony Seviour - Drums, lead vocals

Our manic drummer smurf can double kick a bass as well as he can belt out a lead vocal, which is pretty Fin bloody good.  The most follically challenged of all the boys, Tony can still sing like a choirboy with his cassock on fire. According to legend, Tony once played metal so hard all his hair fell out at the roots.  Listen and be amazed, that really is one person sat behind the skins (you might have to stand up and look hard mind, but he is there...)
Tony is 31 years old Hes been playing drums for many years, and has performed regularly since he was at school.  Tony lives in Frome, and works as a mobile representative for a national fork-lift truck company.  He is married, to the beautiful sarah.  Other interests include adolescent football - Tony is head coach to 2 local kids footie teams; he has achieved the highest professional qualification for a non-premier football manager.   Interesting juvinile facts - as a teenager, Tony made many firsts.  First to Jump of the tallest town bridge, first to go-cart down Singers knoll, the church steps, and airborne over the main road; first to upset the Bristol kids and get stabbed! Tonys favourite colour is puce.  Or magenta.

Terry(Todd) Oswin - Lead guitar, Lead vocals

Tonys long time carer, Todd found he had to turn to music for relief from the constant psychological strain.  From a pit of emotional despair Todd soared like an eagle with a Stratocaster and laid claim to all the notes which he found laid before him.  Hes even credited with being one of the few lead guitar players in the world capable of playing  a convincing Hb - no mean feat for a man with a voice like a classically trained cat in a blender.  Todd unselfishly shares lead vocals with Tony.  If Tony can wake the dead, then Todd can get them grooving.
Todd is 30.  This point is borne out by his wrinkles, of which he has 30.  Not including crows-feet.  Todd has been playing his guitar since school days too.  He lives just outside of Frome in the once-sleepy village of Mells, Somerset.  He works as a dental technician making false gnashers.  He is unmarried, but living in sin with the woman of his life. Todd has been not-married for about 7 years. Todds other interests include being our resident computer hack (he maintains our website) - and trying to own, at least for a short while, every guitar and amp ever made.  Interesting juvenile fact about Todd - when he was a kiddie he made front page local news when he found an unexploded W.W.II bomb in a river.  What the paper didnt print was that Todd had spent 3 minutes twattting it with a spade saying hey everyone, watch this!  Todds favourite animal is a hippacrocamouse. His favourite game is top-trumps super-heroes.

Darren Field - Bass guitar, vocals

Darren 2 is the newest member of the band, and injects high octane sex appeal so appallingly lacking before.  An interloper, Darren soon won their hearts with his combination of self deception and kick-ass basswork - playing which makes your knees shake and your nose bleed.  Darrens special sense of timing and unique use of a plectrum has inspired a generation. . Now in a possession of a mike Darren is keen to prove basists can do 3 things, and all at the same time too.
Darren is 26 and has been playing bass or guitar in bands since he was 14. He lives in Trowbridge, and lists his occupation as prone to change.  Of his many, many jobs, an interesting one was the time he spent as a professional Cyberman - film of which is still used to instruct new theme park employees in the art of spacewalking and scaring the shit out of 10yrs olds.  Darren is single (but thats only because Im fussy, OK..?)  Darren has too much time on his hands.  His other interests include mountainbiking and skiing, and beer.  Darrens favourite food is squidrings, and his favourite film is Watership Down (Directors Cut).

Darren Searle - 2nd Guitar, vocals

Darren 1 is the geezer playing it phat on the strat.  Hes 2nd guitar - not second fiddle allright?  Hell chug through the night like a heavy fuel trucker; stand in his way and hell overdrive right through youre ass.  Darren has family connections to Tony - check out the toes - 12 each.
Darren is 28, and has been playing guitar  for only a couple of years.  Being a jammy git, he took redundancy from the hell-hole he used to work at, brought a strat and didnt go to work for a year so he could learn!  Were all so very pleased  for Darren when that gets brought up. At the moment, (until rock and roll stardom hits) Darren is working merely to keep himself in strings and pot-noodles and none of it is very interesting.  He is unmarried, but is also responsible for the degradation of the moral fabric of our society..  Out of work, Darren has a big noisy motorbike which he spends the winter polishing and the summer rubbing all over with his greasy leathers.  His favourite place is the inside of his knee.  When he was a child he wanted top grow up to be a lingerie designer
