Bishop Commons:
Bishop Commons is an assisted living home for seniors that we visit every week. While
we are there we play Bingo with some fo the residents and pass out snacks and talk to
the other residents. This is a great time for us to catch up on some good stories, we
have a fun time listening to the residents. We also help to put on dances, some include
the Fall Harvest Dance and the Sweetheart Dance.
St. Lukes:
St. Lukes is a nursing home, where we go and play different games with the residents,
such as word games and Bunko. We have a lot of fun here listening to the residents and
getting involved in the games with them.
Special Olympics:
On a weekly basis we help out with the special olympics in Oswego. They are involved in
activities such as bowling, floor hockey ,soccer and basketball. We participate in the
different activities that they do, and also give support to the players.
Make A Child Smile:
We have been making cards and sending them to children who are terminally ill. These
cards make their days a little brighter and we enjoy showing our creative sides when we
make them.
Adopt-A-Platoon:
As a group we have adopted four soldiers who are currently overseas in Iraq. We send
monthly care packages and letters to them. They do so much for us, so we decided to do
something for them.
Make-A-Wish Foundation:
We hold a fundraiser yearly where all the proceeds are donated to the foundation. This
money helps to provide for a child's wish. In recent years we have done a bowl-a-thon
that has received a good turnout.
*These are not the only projects that we do or have done, but they are the ones that
we always do yearly and weekly.*
