| Picture taken in the afternoon on friday, March 21. The full infield tarp had been covering the infield since tuesday afternoon. It was removed and the growth tarp was put in place on the infield. All of the moisture on the infield dirt is coming up through the ground as the frost slowly thaws. Once it has warmed enough, the moisture will drain down through, as designed. On monday, March 24, a unit called a Thaw Zall will be put in place on the infield dirt. It is flexible pipe layed in parallel lines every 18", with a heated oil running through. Very similar to what is put in place in a heat floor. The full infield tarp will then be put in place to contain the heat in an effort to thaw out the ground so that full drainage will occur. |
