| The best and cheapest way to communicate with home is e-mail. Audencia has a computer lab to which you will have access. You can use either a web-based e-mail account (i.e. hotmail or yahoo) or your regular OSU e-mail account. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Students have suggested that it is beneficial to get an MCI calling card ('MCI Call USA program') or an AT&T card ('USA Direct' program). Costs are often comparable to or lower than calling during the lowest hours with FRANCE TELECOM in France. To use these cards, you just call a toll free number in France that links you with an American operator. You can also buy the 'cartes telephoniques' in 'Tabacs' (small shops selling tobacco, coffee, stamps and magazines mostly). These can be used in any 'cabine telephonique'. Another option is for your parents to call you in France using a cheaper US calling plan. Contact AT&T or MCI for details before you leave for France. It's a good idea for your US family to call you at your host family's at a given time and day each week. Remember that Nantes is six hours ahead of Ohio and that late night calls at your host family's will not be appreciated. Click here for dialing instructions. |

| Stamps can be purchased from LA POSTE or at the TABACS, both of which are easily found around France. The min post office in Nantes is located Place de Bretagne, near the Tower. A stamp for the U.S. is 90 centimes. You may receive mail at AUDENCIA by using the address found in the contacts page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
