1st Assignment: Powerpoint Presentation What is Multimedia?

These are two sample pictures from our powerpoint presentation. Kenna Street, Nathaniel Green, and I compared multimedia to Legos, because, when using Legos, you combine different pieces of all shapes, sizes, colors, and functions to construct a piece of work. Likewise, in multimedia, one uses things such as audio, video, computer code, animation, music, and interactivity to construct an interactive masterpiece.
The Infamous Pixel Shim
The picture on the left shows what a pixel shim looks like, except for it is much smaller (1 pixel x 1 pixel). By stretching this pixel shim using the HEIGHT and WIDTH tags, one is able to cover a large space with color with a very small pixel shim. Thus, it decreases download time for your browser.
