Week of August 24, 2003
Hello all,
This is my last week of Family medicine. I actually did enjoy some of my clinic experience this week. There were several well child check ups which are fun because they consist of playing with the baby while looking in all the right orifices and talking to the mom about some things and calling it a visit to the doctor. I have to admit that it did feel a bit strange at first offering advice to new mothers and noticing that they were hanging on every word I was speaking.
I am still working on getting my application together. Thank you so much those of you who have offered advice on my personal statement. As you may know, I love to write but the grammatical side of things is just a nuisance to me.
Nola is starting out on her second week of school. She has one student who is not taking the separation from mom to well and another student who might be ADHD and might be a discipline problem. Other than that, it is shaping up to be a good year.
