Week of February 9, 2003
Hello all,
I think the last Reading Report I sent out was last year on October 6, 2002. Obviously, a lot has happened since then since I have been too busy to keep up with the e-mails. I am now at the Memphis Mental Health Institute doing my Psychiatry rotation. Last month I was at the MED doing Psych consult and I really enjoyed seeing the interface between medicine and psychiatry. I am still in a state of confusion as to what specialty I am being called into, but I still have a few short months to decide!
A few of our friends from our Church here in Memphis are on a mission trip to India for the next few weeks. Nola and I would have liked to have gone, but there are too many things requiring our attention here for the moment. Not that they always get our attention though. With everpraise (www.everpraise.org), Life Groups, preaching, studying, exercising, playing music, etc. things like vegging out in front of the television are a thing of the past. I guess that is not all bad though.
Nola has been very good about going to the health club we joined. Unfortunately with my early mornings, I have not been as dedicated. I tried to reassure her the other day that I get plenty of exercise walking up and down the stairs here at the hospital since the elevators are so slow. I don't think she bought it though.
