Hello all,

Happy 4th of July!   We have started back to school this week.   Monday through Wednesday we had lectures on topics such as writing notes and differential diagnoses.   We also recieved practical instruction in skills like reading X-rays and surgical knot tying.   These introductory classes were supposed to have gone from Monday July 1st through Saturday, the 6th.   However with the Tennessee budget crises our week was compressed into three days.   At least we know we are essential.   On Monday at noon all non-essential staff and classes were told to go home and wait for the legislature to get things figured out in Nashville.   I start my pediatrics rotation at Lebonheur Children's Hospital on Monday, that is if we have a budget by then.   If not, our class might be delayed starting our third year.

I have included a couple of photos from our trip to the Cayman Islands.   I hope you have a great week.

This photo of a squirrel fish with a sea fan is one of my favorites from snorkeling.

The water and trees were beautiful.

Sure wish you could have joined us!
