Hello all,

The garden is in.   That means no more roto-tilling so my work is over.   Now my excuse will be, "I have to go study so there will be no weeding for me."   And I certainly do; our last set of exams for this year are in two weeks and step one of the boards is in a little over two months.

We had everpraise this past weekend.   It was at a new church, new time, and quite a few from our church were away, but we still had a good attendance.   A friend of mine who is a fourth year med. student shared a first person soliloquy on Nathanael and I followed up with some correlating thoughts on the Parable of the Sower and my own experience.   Many said that they were blessed by the music and the thoughts, it has been exciting and encouraging to see the Spirit in action.

Renal pathopysiology is over and we are just starting in on the heart now.   Sometimes I wonder if the way the lectures are scheduled is just poor planning or a remnant from the good old days when a certain percentage of the class was expected to fail as a weeding out process.   I guess that gives new meaning to, "I have to go study so there will be no weeding for me."

Have a great week,

Brenton Reading

P.S.   I forgot to mention, I was elected to another two year term to sit on the professionalism committee.   I am excited since next year we should have more interesting issues to deal with than beepers going off in class, class dues payments, exam sign-ups, etc.
