Week of March 24, 2002
Hello all,
Spring break has been absolutely wonderful. I didn't get to even half of the things I meant to accomplish. I found that after the last block of exams I just needed some time to recuperate and prepare for the push to the boards.
I had the message at everpraise yesterday afternoon. It went well thanks to those of you who I contacted for help on my story! In a few weeks our Pastor will be gone and the church has asked me to help out by preparing a sermon! I know, I thought they were kidding too. I thought I was getting away from all this sort of thing by coming out here to medical school instead of heading up north to seminary with my friends Chris and Will.
Nola is really happy teaching kindergarten. I was able to go in a few times this week to help her out. We have made a camping center for the kids to play in. It's a hit! Now they all want me to take them camping for real. We also went on a bird watching field trip. They seemed to enjoy it, although I am not sure how many of them actually saw the birds we were trying to point out.
I should go, Nola is outside cleaning up after the dog thinking that I am studying for my LCP test which I have to take today. I also have a physical exam to write up. Next week we begin to focus on the heart and kidneys which will be refreshing after the pain of endocrinology.
