Week of January 6, 2002

Hello All,

I hope you had a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.   Nola and I spent Christmas in the Chattanooga area and then came back here to Memphis for the new year.   School started up for both of us in the 3rd so we are already back in the reality of studying and such.   Well, not really.   I figure that as long as I don't have notes yet from the notes system I shouldn't try to get too much studying in.   I have however started preparing for step one of the USMLE.   I have been listening to some wonderful tapes my parents got me for Christmas.   That was my favorite gift until I buy myself a present in a few days (a new computer and a PDA).

So far we have been dissapointed here in Memphis as the winter weather has skirted all around us.   However, Nola is hoping for some snow tonight because she found some obscure weather report that made a mention of flurries.   I never realized it when I was a student, but teachers hope for snow days even more than the kids do.

I hope you have a great week,

Brenton Reading
