Hello all,
It turns out we had so much to do here in Memphis that we did not make the trip to Chattanooga. Nola will be heading back that direction over her Spring Break. I think she will be going with a few of the other teachers at her school. My friend Les' wife might go and he is worried that they will have too much fun and not want to come back. But, I cannot imagine not wanting to come back to Memphis.
Les is an optometrist so Nola and I went to him to get our eyes examined today. I have amblyopia in my right eye so I was interested to learn that some adults with amblyopia have actually reported improvement with vision therapy. I read about it in some medical textbooks and they all say that adults with amblyopia are beyond help. The optometry text however mentioned improving a 32 year-old ambliopic woman from 20/400 to 20/40 in just a few months. I am curious to see if it could help me as well, so Les is going to talk with some of the professors he works with to set up a program for me. If it helps maybe we could even write a paper on it.
