ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Justine has taught exercise/movement classes specific to Osteoporosis symptom prevention and management for the past 5 years.  This class and her Introductory Osteoporosis Exercise Class were developed from a program she designed for a successful research study which showed a significant reduction in pain levels among women with Osteoporosis and women at high risk for Osteoporosis after 7 weeks of participation in Justine's exercise program.  Other test groups showed significant height gains over 7-week periods of performing Justine's exercise program.  Known as an advocate for women with Osteoporosis, she is being encouraged by her peers to continue her research to further validate the pain relief and gains in height, balance and bone mineral density that occur when women at risk for, or already with Osteoporosis,  perform appropriate,  specific corrective exercises to protect their spines from degeneration.
Justine has been working with individual clients developing exercise programs to prevent and manage injuries for the past 9 years.  She was a member of a local Osteoporosis Education Task Force, whose goal was to educate physicians and community members about Osteoporosis, for the 2 years of it's duration.  Justine is also a licensed Massage Therapist whose practice emphasizes Osteopathic joint and soft tissue manipulation techniques.  She is completing a 2-year postgraduate program in Musculoskeletal and Visceral Pathology, taught by an internationally-respected Cranial Osteopath.
Justine's classes are known for their postitive and supportive environment and individualized emphasis on correct technique.
