Protection Spells

A PROTECTION CHANT
Visualize a triple circle of purplish light around your body while chanting:

I am protected by your might
O gracious Goddess, day and night
Thrice around the circle's bound,
Evil sink into the ground.

A MIRROR PROTECTION SPELL FOR THE HOME
Compose an alter: place a censer in the center before an image of the Goddess.
Have a twelve inch (or so) round mirror there as well.
Ring the alter with nine white candles.
Burn a protective incense (such as sandalwood, frankincense, copal, or rosemary) in the censer.
Begin with the candle most directly in front of the Goddess image, saying these or similar words:

Lunar Light Protect Me!

Repeat lighting each candle.
Now say these words holding the mirror and invoking the Goddess in her lunar aspect:

Great Goddess of Lunar Light
and Mistress of the Seas
Great Goddess of the Mystic Night
and of the mysteries;
Within this place of candles bright
and with your mirror nigh;
Protect me with your awesome might
While ill vibrations fly!

Standing before the alter, hold the mirror facing the candles so that it reflects their flames.
Slowly move in a circle keeping the reflection of the candles in the mirror letting the light reflect off your surroundings.
Slowly increase your speed invoking the Goddess as you move faster and faster watch the light as it cleanses removing all negative and energies in your home.
Once finished stand once again infront of the Goddess image and thank her for helping protect you and your belongings.

A PROTECTION SPELL

Materials

1 candle to represent your self
4 or more black candles
3 white candles
*The number of candles can be varied
Incense any but preferably the following:
Basil, Dragon's Blood, Myrrh, Pine, and/or Sage

The Spell:

One the eve of a full moon gather the materials and inscribe the candles as follows.
The candle representing yourself. Place your name or any symbol that represents you or the person you are doing the spell for.
2 of the black candles with repel
2 of the black candles with adsorb
The 3 white candles with protection
Take your personal candle in your hands and invision yourself. Fill the candle with your energy. Place the candle in a holder in the centre of your work area. Say the following as you light it:

This is me.
Here I stand.

With your candle lit place the three white candles around it in a triangle with the point of it a way from you. Say the following as you light them:

This is the light which will always protect me.
It is the light with in me.
It is the light which flows throughout the universe.
It is the power of protection.

Now close you eyes and invision a bright light building up around you. Fell its warmth and protection. Feel it repelling any negative energy.
Now Place the black candles in a circle around the white. Say the following as you light them:

This is the dark that surrounds the light.
It absorbs that what would cause me harm.
It repels what would cause me harm.
It allows only good to enter in.

Invision a black wall around your white light. See all that you are afraid of being bounced off the wall or neutralized. Focus on this image for five minutes the snuff the candles as you say:

The light remains and protects me from all that is Bane.
So mote it be.

Continue this ritual until you no longer feel the need. You can use the same candles over again.

A SPELL OF PROTECTION

Sit or stand before any fire. Look into the flames (or flame, if using a candle).
Visualize the fire bathing you with glowing, protective light. The fire creates a
flaming, shimering sphere around you. If you wish, say the following or similar words:

"Craft the spell in the fire;
Craft it well; Weave it higher.
Weave it now of shining flame;
None shall come to hurt or maim.
None shall pass this fiery wall;
None shall pass No, none at all."

Repeat this simple yet effective ritual every day when in need.

SHEILD SPELL

Directions: Cast Circle, Call Quarters. Look into a flame of a candle and imagine a shield of fire protecting you. Chant this:

Craft the Spell in the fire;
Weave it well; weave it higher.
Weave it now of shining flame;
None shall come to hurt or maim.
None shall pass this fiery wall;
None shall pass, No! None at all!

FROST GIANT SPELL

Take a piece of paper write the name of the person who is bothering you. Draw a vertical line down through the name. (This is the rune Isa for those of you who are familiar with runes) fold the paper put it in a ziploc baggie, seal it. Open your freezer and say :

Chill Out!

Shut the door and say:

Frost Giants please sit on (the person's name)
so they wont bother me anymore.

Note: The Frost Giants dont sit on them! They just keep them quiet. If you take the bag out of the freezer the spell will loose its power and stop working.

PROTECTION OF AN OBJECT

Materials: Athame, Object you want to protect.

Directions: So you got a pretty new ring or object, and your fraid to death someone is gonna steal it! Well point the Athame down at the object imagine it being protected by white light and becoming invisible to everyone but you. Walk around it 11 times, each time saying:

Safe from Harm,
Who breaks this charm.
Will fall away,
And turn to dust!

Note: This spell will not work if you told anyone you used it.

FLOWER PROTECTION SPELL

This is a good practical home protection spell that uses recycled flowers-- you know the flowers that are given on special occasions. These are good flowers to use because they were sent your way with positive energy.

- Pull off the petals of your deadish flowers and put them into a container

- Do the same thing with the leaves

- Consecrate the leaves and petals by censing them frankincense (stick) incense

- Go outside and put the incense into the ground to mark your beginning point.

- Drop the leaves and petals around the perimeter of your home. If you live in an apartment building use doorways, patios, etc.

- As you do this, visualize a wall of white-purple light rising and surrounding your home. Walk around and feel the energy. You should feel love, peace and security. The spell is not effective until you do.

- Once you have erected the energy barrier, sit outside and enjoy the positive earth energies. Continue to blend with them and strengthen the barrier until the incense burns itself out.

- Repeat the phrase three times:

"This is my home;
This is my fortress;
Good spirits welcome;
Evil spirits BEGONE!"

- The spell is completed
- If you have lots of leftover flowers save them for future protection spells.

Home protection spells can be done as often as needed. The Witch’s Bottle spell is mainly
concerned with protecting you the person while this spell is focused on your home.

Three Red Leaves Spell

Gather 3 red leaves from any plant, bush or tree, such as a red maple tree. Place a few drops of chrysanthemum oil on the leaves, chanting:
Leaves three,
Bright Red,
Protect me,
In my Bed.
Wrap the leaves in a white cloth or put them in a white pouch. Place them under your mattress within three feet of your head for protection against nightmares and hostile sendings.

Thread Bottle Spell

Find a bottle and stuff it with small pieces of thread of many colors (except black). This project will probably take you many weeks, since only small pieces of thread (one to three inches in length) should be used, and each must be introduced into the bottle separately.

As you add each piece of thread, say something like the following:

Tangle the bane up!
Defend against foes, bits of thread,
But to family and friends bring only good.
Tangle the bane up!
When the bottle is full, cap it and place it in a window, in the attic or in a cupboard. If possible, touch the bottle and repeat your chant at least once a week to reinforce the magick. This spell will help defend your home and family from the negative energy that uninvited visitors and negative thoughts can introduce. It's less effective against magickal attack, but magickal attacks are rare in the lives of the average family.

Quick Protection Chant

Visualize a triple circle of purplish light around your body while chanting (silently, if necessary):
I am protected by your might
O gracious Goddess, day and night
Thrice around the circle's bound,
Evil sink into the ground.

The Bottle Spell

(variation of the traditional witch's bottle)
This spell can be used to neutralize the power of those who intend to hurt your reputation, in any way pose a threat to your security, or who want to do you physical harm.

Tools:
black thread
black ink or black ballpoint pin
parchment paper
1 bottle with a cork or mortar and pestle
1 white candle
4 tablespoons orris-root (or oak moss)
4 tablespoons sea salt
4 tablespoons black powdered iron (available at
pottery shops where ironstone is made)
4 tablespoons frankincense or myrrh

Mix the sea salt, orris-root powder, and iron in a bowl. Then cut a peice of parchment to fit inside your bottle and write on it in black ink:

I neutralize the power of [name of your adversary] to do me any harm.
I ask that this be correct and for the good of all. So mote it be.

Roll up the parchment, tie it with black thread to bind it, and place it in the bottle. Fill the bottle with the dry ingedients. Then take the white candle and, while turning the bottle counterclockwise, drip drip wax over the cok to seal it. Last, secretly bury the bottle in a place where it will not be disturbed and no animal or person will dig it up. It should never be opened or the power of the spell is lost.

Cone of Protection 

Sit in a protected circle. Close your eyes and begin to meditate on building a cone of energy around you. Visualize an electric blue light building around the room that begins to swirl like a vortex. It is moving towards you. When it engulfs you it begins to turn white, then a gelatinous silver. It surrounds you and will be there to reflect any negative energy or thought forms that come your way. If you are new to magick you may need to renew this mirror 2-3 times a day until your power builds.

Pet Protection

These spells were used in a protection ritual for a house and its inhabitants, including the pets. In both spells, Hecate is called upon for her fierce protective attributes. The circumstances are explained in each case, but you would want to make changes to fit the circumstances and characteristics of your pets.

To protect a dog:

The dog that was wanted to protect was a beautiful, loving pet. He was also a pitbull and very protective of his family. The fear had always been that he would protect them from intruders or other harm and later be harmed himself because of the fear many people have of the breed.

Call your dog into the circle and draw a pentagram in Protection Oil on his forehead. Then recite:

Hecate, Dark Mother
In protecting this home
In your place as is right
Stands one of your own

In defending this house
And all creatures within
Your sacred beast
Is your true loyal friend.

Keep him from harm
As he guards all he loves
And watch over him
So below, as above.

To protect a cat:

The cat in this case was a house cat who had just moved into a new house. He kept running away every time a door or window was opened.

Call your cat into the circle and draw a pentagram in Protection Oil on his forehead. Then recite:

Moon Goddess, I ask
That you keep [name] at home
And safe from his mischief
And desire to roam.

Give him the contentment
Known to his race
And see that he's happy
In this his new place.

A SIMPLE CHARM TO CARRY

Write the following on a piece of plain white paper along with your full name and pin it to your skirt or suit coat:
AWNANIA
AZARIA
MISAEL
BLESSED BE HECATE, THE GODDESS OF WISDOM, FOR SHE HAS REGENERATED US FROM THE UNDERWORLD, AND HAS SAVED US FROM SPIRITUAL DEATH, AND SHE HAS PRESERVED US EVEN IN THE MIDST OF THE FIRE AND ICE. IN THE SAME MANNER MAY IT PLEASE HIM, THE GOD, THAT THERE BE NO FIRE OR DANGER TO ME IN ANY WAY. IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, AND LADY, AND THE ALL. SO MOTE IT BE!

A Cleansing Chant

"Uphold the rules of the Witches rede
Be high in spirit ye shall succeed.
Power of the Elements Five,
Will help Mother Nature stay alive.
From grains of Earth to the moving Air.
Past the burning Fire that magick flares.
Flow with Water, lakes, and streams;
Around the Spirit's aura and dreams."

Uncrossing Ritual

Need:
Rosemary Essencial oil
1 cup rainwater
Uncrossing oil & bath salts
Jinx removing oil & bath salts
Uncrossing powder(optional)

Place 7 drops of the Rosemary oil in a glass of rainwater(natural spring water can be used if need be).Add 9 drops of the uncrossing oil and repeat this chant:

"Break the hex,break the root
Free my life from the evil curse"

Place the glass with the oil & water mixture in your window for 3 days. On the 4th day, sprinkle the 4 corners of your house (inside & out) with it . Let no one see you do this.

Car Protection Charm

Ingredients needed:
1-2" Cinnamon Stick
1 Black tourmaline stone (size should fit in a pill bottle)
A pinch of Comfrey
1 Aquamarine (size should fit in a pill bottle)
Any other stones or herbs that draw you.
A bit of red thread
1 pill bottle

In a Circle cleanse and consecrate each item. Then charge them with your energy and say this or something similar three times:

Mercury, God of Travel
Heed my plea this day
Let my plans not unravel
Carry me safely on my way.
Hecate, Mother of the Roads
Watch over ____, your child.
Protect me as I travel your roads
And keep my trouble mild.

Once you have charged all the items, place them all into the pill bottle except for the red thread as the red thread represents you. Spit on it or prick your finger and put a drop of blood on it. Speak to it and call it by your name as you place it in the bottle. Know that you are now protected.

This is a very simple charm and you can substitute stones that represent elements from your home environment as well. Cinnamon is sacred to Mercury and during a Mercury Retrograde it can’t hurt to have an extra stick in the car. Comfrey is the Traveler's companion herb. Aquamarine is known as the Traveler's stone. Black Tourmaline is one of the most powerful protective stones I know of. If not able to find Black Tourmaline, another good choice is Obsidian to reflect the trouble away.

Basil Protection Spell
To be done during the Full Moon

Needed:
one white candle
one carnation flower
Basil

Place the carnation in the bowl of consecrated water, and set the basil in front of the white candle. Light the candle ,breathe deeply and clear your mind. Begin to concentrate on the powers of protection, visualize a strong shell surrounding you, glowing hot.When this has been accomplished, say in a powerful voice:

"I call on the guardians
and on the power of the Lord and the Lady
I surround myself with the protection of fire
I am supported by the strength and grace of earth
The winds bring me gentle shifts
and the water's flow eases the energy in this time.
I believe in this protection and I release my fears,
so that I may connect to the pulse of life.
May this be done within the greater good,
So mote it be, so be it should!"

Let the candle burn for as long as you like. You can take this opporunity to meditate and release the spell into the cosmos. When you are ready, snuff out the candle. Keep this candle and burn it during meditation whenever you feel a need for extra protection. When the candle has eventually been burned completely, repeat this spell if you feel the need. When done, take the basil and scatter it on the ground under the light of the full moon. The spell is complete.

For A Peaceful Home

Gather freshly cut parsley and place it in a pan of water. Let it soak for nine minutes, and then sprinkle the water throughout the house while visualizing a calm environment. It is said that peace will be restored.

A Home Blessing Meditation For Charging a Room

Sit straight with palms on lap. Take deep breaths, relax and move into a mental place where you activate your intuitive senses. Imagine a cord of energy from your spine connecting you to the earth, and channeling your energy from the earth through it. Silently ask for divine protection, guidance, and blessings.

Direct your psychic sensing outward, and feel lines of force coming out of your aura. Note where the strongest energy is. (check the floor, ceiling, directions, ect.) Note spots that feel empty or dead, note places that feels full; alive, focus on where you are sitting and how you feel at this particular spot.

Imagine a sphere of love, light and energy at your heart, feel it pulsing outward with every breath, feel youself as a star, continue to breathe deeply and send out this energy, letting it pulsate in the room. When ready, start making power sounds representing the love and light you are channeling; use it to amplify the light you are weaving; then fill the room with energy. Then shift focus to sending the probe out into the room, and note the differences in the quality of energy and how you feel about it. Repeat if neccessary, when done, feel the completeness of the work.

Fire Protection Spell

Find a clear spot outside, at least twenty feet in diameter. Gather plenty of wood, matches, and a quantity of water. Using one of the sticks of wood, draw a circle about 11 feet in diameter. Use a compass, the Moon, Sun or stars to determine the directions. Lay a small fire (but do not yet light it) at each point just inside the circle for North, East, South and West.

Make sure you have enough wood to keep the fires burning at least 1/2 hour.Walk to the South first, light the fire, with these words :

"With the lighting of this fire, nothing from the South can harm me!"

Move to the West and say:

"With the lighting of this fire, nothing from the West can harm me!"

Move North and say :

"With the lighting of this fire, nothing from the North can harm me!"

Lastly, in the East say :

"With the lighting of this fire, nothing from the East can harm me!"

Grab a burning stick form the Southern fire and thrust it at the sky and say :

"With this flame, I am protected. Nothing from above can harm me!

Throw the branch to the ground and say :

"With this flame, I am protected. Nothing from below can harm me!

Pick up the burning branch and replace it in the Southern Fire. Sit in the center of the circle. Watch the flame consume the wood. Know anything that may harm you, on any level, is being burned away. Feel the heat, see the light from the flames. Know you will be protected.When the fires start to die down, you will feel the power ebbing. Bury the fires and douse with water. Erase the circle you have drawn on the earth.Leave the area. Keep the image of the protective flames in your mind. Recall this image when you feel the need for physical, spiritual, or mental protection.

House Protection

This should be done on the waning moon, as close to the New Moon as
possible. Raise athame in salute to the Goddess and God, asking
their assistance in your "house cleaning".

Now, beginning at the front door, walk throughout your home, deosil
[clockwise]. At each window, door or other opening make an invoking
pentagram with your athame [invoking, because it is invoking protection].
You may wish to chant as you mark these pentagrams. The one I use is:

"Lord and Lady of the day, Keep all harm far away, Set your guard
ever near, Let no evil enter here."

After you have gone through your entire living space, visualize the
three-dimensional outline of your home being completely made of, and sealed
with, white light. Thank the Lady and Lord for their aid.

House Protection

Preparations:
Go out into the woods and find a few pieces of wood. Properly thank the tree.

You will need as many pieces of wood as there are entries to whatever area you wish to protect.

The Spell:
Bring the wood to your alter. Light a white candle.
Sprinkle the wood with lavender oil and say:

"Wood is of a shield. Please protect my home."

Concentrate on protection and pour this energy into the wood.
When you sense the wood is pulsing with the shielding energy,
take it up, and place it around your home, near all entrances,
and then return to your alter.

See the shield around your house. Say a prayer of thanks
to the wood, and the Lord and the Lady for enabling this.
Re-do this when the wood no longer smells of lavender.

Spell for Protection in the Snow

You will need:

1. One peppercorn
2. A pinch of salt
3. Pinch of powdered ginger
4. Pinch of powdered cloves
5. A small pinch of red cotton cloth

Place the peppercorn in you bowl saying and visualizing:

I charge you with protection

Place the salt in saying:

"I charge you with stability".

Place the cayenne pepper in saying:

"I charge you with warmth".

Place the ginger in saying:

"I charge you with protection".

Place the cloves in saying:

"I charge you with protection".

Mix the assembled spices and salt with your fingers, visualize yourself having a safe health, guarded time. Now transfer the hers to the center of the cloth squares. Fold in half and in half again and sew up the ends. Carry this with you. Make a new charm ever snowy season. take me home
