BAD TRADERS

I've been trading on the net now since 1999 and haven't bothered with a bad traders page until now.  Over the last 6 years, like anyone else I've received my fair share of dud disks with burning errors, gaps etc and a couple of trades which never made it at all.  Over the last 2 years I've noticed that standards really seem to be slipping and many of the trades I've done in recent times, including some with people I'd previously traded successfully with, have been unsatisfactory.  I'm not sure why people feel the need to continue to pass on poorly burned disks but it seems to be increasingly common and I'm really sick of hearing "my disks are the same" when I make a query about errors.  Anyway, I'm not sure that Bad Trader pages actually work, but if for no other reason than sheer frustration I've decided to start mine.  Stay away from these guys:

ERIC ACEVEDO
2024 Eastern Avenue, Sacremento, 95864, USA
email: [email protected]

Quite a few of the disks Eric sent me had burner errors.  He promised he'd replace them and every so often I get a message from him to say that he hasn't forgotten but he's been too busy to get to the Post Office etc.  He's also had time to go on holidays and significantly increase his own trading list during this busy time.  I think the last 3 messages I got all promised me that he would be sending them "this weekend".  Still waiting.

BOB INDERWIES
1303 Myrtle St, Hillside, N.J. 07205, USA
email: [email protected]

Bob was very particular about making sure that the stuff he wanted from me wasn't MP3 sourced which was kind of ironic considering he sent me a bunch of disks with clicks and gaps and 4 of the shows I wanted didn't come at all.  Apparently he's a little too busy with work to put his end of the trade right.

TOM HENRICH
119-21 14th Avenue, College Point, New York 11356, USA

Tommy's trading rules required me to send to him first, which was fine, and we exchanged a number of emails while the disks were in transit.  Tommy seemed like a really nice guy so I was disappointed to receive all my disks burned in non-DAO mode. Even if they'd been burned properly a number were useless as they were scratched to hell after being posted loose in the envelope.  Despite telling me that he "knew better than that" Tommy didn't bother replacing the disks for me.
