There will be a support group meeting at UCLA on Saturday, April 10th from 1-4 p.m.  The topic is (tentatively) the psychological aspects of the surgery both pre and post-op.  Hoepfully, if you're in the area, you can make it.  Call Joyce at Dr. Livingston's office and tell her that Patti Fleming said there was a meeting on 4/10 so that she can order enough munchies for everyone.  For those that have been to the past meetings, even though they've gone through the regular route of what happens during surgery, this would be a fantastic opportunity to talk about the psycholgical issues that deal with pre-ops and post-ops.  Believe me, there are lots of post-op problems on the psychological end and, unfortunately, there are not a lot of therapists out there who have had the surgery and can relate.  Hopefully there will be one there with her card so that you can find out if your psychotherapy is covered through your insurance with her.
