Experience in a Cramped Enclosed Area

The students were led to the washrooms, and they squeezed in a cramped toilet cubicle. They were supposed to keep quiet for 5 minutes, but some ended up giggling. Yes, they survived the "big squeeze". The girls had it better. They chose a cubicle for the disabled and had more space.

The purpose of this activity is to let the students experience how illegal immigrants try to hide in lorries, container trucks, ships and other places. In some of the boats, they do not have any separate place to use the toilet and they may have to grit their teeth and bear with unbearable stench from human waste for weeks. And when they try to pass through the borders, they have to be as quiet as possible to avoid detection.

The girls would have been discovered straight away if they were in their shoes.
