Counter Stike: Condition Zero.
As the single player version of the popular Counterstrike modification for Halflife, Counter Strike: Condition Zero doesn't quite live up to its online predecessor. I see this game to be somewhat of a cash cow for Valve Software, trying to milk the Counterstrike franchise before releasing Halflife 2. Using the slightly modified Halflife game engine, now you don't even have to be online to crack off some deagle headshots at those whacky Iraquis. The storyline puts you in a downed helicopter named Redtail 5 in the middle of an impoverished city somewhere in North Africa.
The player models in this game have been greatly improved from Counterstrike 1.5, as well as much more detailed textures and weapons. Oddly enough, they use the same skin for nearly every single enemy, so unless the great father Allah gave anal birth to 30,000 identical offspring, this game has some definite realism issues. There are lots of crappy things about this game. One being the AI, which is a downright abomination. They must have butchered the Halflife AI in the coding process because the grunts from Halflife were Einsteins compared to some of the no brainer moves these dudes pull. Taking into consideration that they not only look exactly the same, and they behave like retards, this sounds like a serious case of software downs-syndrome to me. The weapons are nothing new, they work just as they do in CS 1.5 with the exception of some new added plastique C4 with detonators, you know, crap that you'll never really use in battle unless it's scripted into the level. Another thing I don't really find too appealing about this game is the suicidal tendencies of the enemies. They will run at you brandishing pussy ass machetes while screaming shit. It's not scary, it's rather pathetic in fact, cause it only takes a bullet or 2 to the dome before they drop like flies 10 feet infront of you.
I guess this game has some value, it's pretty fun to fire the guns and own some of the enemies, but it loses its flavor after 10 minutes. I'd much rather stick to CS 1.5 and listen to the real whacky Iraquis complaining about me owning them at Cyberworld (local internet cafe). This game's not really worth the effort downloading it, even if you're getting it for free off bittorrent, thanksss.
