Sağlık ve GIS

Doktora Çalışmaları

ODTÜ Jeodezi ve Coğrafi Bilgi Teknolojileri (GGIT) programında Doktora yapmaktayım. 2003 yılında başladım ve halen devam ediyorum. 4. Dönemdeyim. Bu dönem de 2 tane ders alıyorum. Böylece derslerin tümünü tamamlıyorum. Kim bilir ne zaman bitecek. Resmi bitiş süresi 30/09/2010. Konu olarak GIS ve Sağlık seçtim. GGIT’nin yanında özel öğrenci olarak Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Sağlık İdaresi Yüksekokulundan da ders almaktayım.

Konuyu daha detaylandırmak gerekirse Sağlık Etki Değerlendirmesi (Health Impact Assessment [HIA]) yapan ve Sağlık hizmetlerine erişimi gösteren ve erişimdeki eşitsizlikleri ortaya koyan mekansal bir model kurmayı amaçlıyorum. Eğer tabii, bu konuda data bulabilrisem…

ABSTRACT: Some socioeconomic indicators are more sensitive than others for the determination of the health status in the region. The aim of the study is to identify the relationship between socioeconomic indicators and health status. Finding which indicators are more representative of the health status in Turkey will help the decision makers locate and distribute health facilities in a more reasonable way. The study shows the differentiation of the areas which are underserved or overserved by the health services. The spatial part of the study is based on two different areas: one looks for the location of a hospital in the province, such as a health sector at the overall country and the other looks for the location of a health station within the neighborhood of the province.
