GEOMETRIA DEL
PAISAJE
En años recientes se ha
definido un estilo muy personal de interpretación del paisaje
urbano mediante el análisis geométrico, lo que podría
ubicarse más apropiadamente dentro de un 'geometrismo' que en
el cubismo, al que no pretendo aproximar mi obra. El resultado
de este afán está inscrito en lo que llamo 'GEOMETRIA DEL
PAISAJE'.
Paisaje urbano es un tema
propicio para desarrollar la descomposición de los volúmenes,
mediante la prolongación de las aristas, proceso que genera un
entrecruzamiento de líneas que dividen la superficie del lienzo
en pequeños espacios o 'sub-cuadros' de características
colindantes con la abstracción, deviniendo en una forma de
hallazgo de expresionismo abstracto a partir de un planteamiento
eminentemente racional como la geometría del paisaje.
Esta temática cumple
bien (así como los bodegones que forman parte de esta serie) su
propósito de inducir al observador, a partir de una lectura
total, fácil y directa, a un acercamiento que lo sumerja en las
particularidades de cada fragmento y su individual universo.
También esta serie,
entre sus variaciones, brinda la ocasión de redescubrir los
espacios cotidianos desde una diferenre perspectiva, así
'EL MUNDO VISTO POR ENTRE LAS PIERNAS' motiva al rompimiento con
la visión rutinaria de nuestro entorno, instándonos a
ejercitar nuestra gama de posibilidades imaginativas y un
consecuente cambio de actitud vital.

TOWNSCAPE
GEOMETRY
In the recent years I have defined a very personal
style interpreting the urban landscape through the geometric analysis,
that can be more appropriately be located within a 'geometrism' than within
the cubism, to which my works do not intend to approximate. The reult of
this zeal lies within what I call 'TOWNSCAPE GEOMETRY'.
Urban views is a favourable subject to experiment
with the deconstruction of the volumes, through the prolongation of the
contours, process that generates criss-crossing of the lines that divide the
surface of the canvas in smaller spaces, by their character close to
abstract, that are derived in a certain way, from the discoveries of the
abstract expressionism on the base of the eminently rational concept, that
of the geometry of the townscape.
This group of subjects (as well as the still-lives
that form a part of this series) fulfills perfectly its task to lead the
observer, startong with the general perception, easy and direct, towards a
closer 'reading' that submerges him into the peculiarities of each fragment
and its individual universe.
Also this series and its different versions, gives
an opportunity to rediscover the every-day surroundings from a different
perspective, so 'THE WORLD AS SEEN FROM BETWEEN THE LEGS' provokes us
to leave aside the ordinary vision of our environment, forcing us to
experience the whole spectrum of our imaginative possibilities and a
consecuent change of the attitude to life.
