A very RARE event is going to occur on June 8, 2004. On that day, the silhouette of the planet Venus will cross the face of the Sun. This phenomenon has not happened since 1882, and will not happen again until 2012. After that, the next time will be in the year 2117!
Venus is the next planet after Mercury and before
the Earth. It is considered the twin of the Earth since they
are approximately the same size. Venus, unlike the Earth, has
no moon. Venus' atmosphere is a deadly, noxious mixture of

Venus corresponds to the attractive energy which brings things to us, as opposed to Mars which goes out to get that which is desired. Mars draws you to action, Venus compels attraction to you from the world. Venus represents our love nature, or how we relate to others in interpersonal relationships. Venus rules two signs...Taurus and Libra, representing two sides of her nature, one masculine(Libra) and one feminine (Taurus).
Venus and Mars occur spatially on either side of the Earth, Venus being closer to the Sun, Mars much further away. It is interesting to note that the symbols for these two planets are the same as we commonly use for male and female; Venus is a circle with an extended cross, Mars is a circle with an extended arrow. Venus also represents the forces of birth and decay. Venus' energy is one of sex and death, and all that lies between the two points.
