Uranus, contrary to popular misperception, is not pronounced as "your anus". It is pronounced oo-RAAH-nus. This is based on the ancient god who was the father of Saturn. According to mythology, Saturn or Chronos, castrated his father, Uranus, because Uranus had a bad habit of eating his children for fear they would usurp his power. When Uranus' testicles fell into the sea, they foamed and from the depths of the sea emerged Venus, the daughter of Uranus' testicles, most well known in Boticelli's famous work, the Birth of Venus. Another symbol of Uranus is Thoth, the Mouth of God, also known as Hermes Trismajestis, or Hermes Thrice Great. In Egyptian, he is known as, simply, Tehuti.

Uranus is a very strange planet indeed. It represents
the rebellious, the revolutionary, the eccentric and odd in all
of us and in our natures. It breaks the molds that are crystalized by Saturn as the creator of forms. It is the planet associated with anything odd, unusual or eccentric, like it's unusual axis which is 60 degrees from perpendicular, causing it to appear to turn on its side, almost horizontally.

It's very bizzare magnetic field gives it the association with the Higher Mind, and as such would be the higher vibration of Mercury, the Lower Mind. Imagine that Mercury is our Solar System's local antenna, while Uranus is the galactic antenna for the rest of our Milky Way galaxy. It is responsible for the lightning bolt flashes of intuitive brilliance, genius, and intellectual insights which come to us in a moment of great revelation.
Uranus is also the planet associated with Astrology, as well as homosexuality, and anything else which defies the conventions of Saturn and conventional wisdom. It has 5 moons, and takes 84 years to complete 1 rotation around the Sun, spending 7 years in each of the 12 Zodiacal signs of our zodiac belt.
