Detroit Red Wings multimedia, wings/avs fight pics, and scores and updates
Welcome to my Detroit Red Wings page.  It includes great movie and audio clips, and the story of the Wings/Avs rivalry. I am proud and lucky to say that I have been able to see the Wings in action!  I saw them play the Nashville Predators in Nashville in '99 and they won 4-1.  Then I saw them play in '00 and they won again 3-1.  This past season I saw the Wings rally from a 2 goal deficit in the third to tie the Preds 3-3.    If there are any good movie or audio clips of the Wings not included on this site, please e-mail me.  Enjoy the site.

       Detroit   vs.   Colorado
In the beginning there were two teams who played each other regularly and never hated each other.  Then came a cheapshot artist by the name of Claude Lepuke.  He first struck in the 1996 western conference finals when he blindsided Igor Larionov in an unbelievably illegal hit.  Larionov was out of the series and Lepuke struck again in the final game of the series, Game 6.  As Kris Draper was looking to his left with his face to the boards(without the puck), Lepuke nailed him from behind and sent Draper head first into the boards.  Draper would have his jaw shattered in three places and was eating out of a straw for a month.  In the post game interview, he couldn't even talk.  Then the rivalry began...   and the next year the Wings would get...

Vernon vs. Roy
Vernon absolutely beat the crap out of Roy and you can see the bloody aftermath of Roy on the "Bloody Revenge" picture higher up on the page.  The video for this fight should be up any day now.

Osgood vs. Roy
This is one of the most misunderstood fights to Avalanche fans.  I got news for ya Avs fans, just because you throw a punch doesn't mean you always land it!  Roy does throw about 10 punches at least and only 2 or 3 actually connect which is the same amount Ozzie landed.  He didn't throw as many, but he landed all the ones he did throw.  He also slammed Roy to the ice at the end.  These pics are proof.

Whiff!!
Ozzie connects with the right hand
Since winning the Cup back to back in 97 and 98, the Wings have fallen apart in the second round of both the 99 and 00 playoffs.  Bowman will coach the Wings for one more season and I think I speak for all Wings' fans when I say...
