Minutes from the 11-5-02 PIE mtg.:

- Guest speaker, Shannon from "Mad Scieence" (presentation made; literature
distributed. $20 p/child for a 4 wk. program, $40 p/child for an 8 wk. program. Will
consider after the holidays)
- Review of minutes from Oct. mtg.
- Treasurer's Report (given by Kristen Hieroonymus; copies distributed)
- Book Fair results (given by Susanne Alexannder; $2163 made, w/o taxes, PIE to pay.
Library received $1000 in books)
- Basket Bingo, Nov. 14th (update given by CChris Hall. Committee will meet 11/14 am
to set-up baskets. Amy SanClement will check on cellophane wrap)
- Fall Dance, Nov. 26th (Chair-head, Cynnamoon Studebaker, not present so Susanne
Alexander reported. Theme is "winter wonderland"...will call committee to schedule mtg.)
- Christmas Craft Bazaar, Nov. 29-30 & DDec. 1st (Amy Thornton gave update.
Examples shown. Susanne Alexander has spent $67 on teacher's supplies,
and committee has spent $135. Agreed to continue production, and make more
"crafts" than originally decided. Committee will meet 11/11am at Amy SanClement's)
- Karen Ellingson requested @$700 for a new server (to be used for the "Accelerated
Reader" & "Star Reading" programs). Approved reallocation of "Cash Back" funds
to cover this expense (originally designated for OSE TV station)
- Motion passed to start-up "Cougar Quaarters" again this year. $360 allocated for this;
Mary Elmore & Kristen Hieronymus to make & distribute to teachers.
