TOPIC FOR THE MONTH:

SALVATION IS AN IMPORTANT TOPIC ONE NEED TO CONCERN ABOUT AND FOR THAT MATTER I HAVE TAKEN TIME TO SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES FOR VITAL POINTS THAT WILL HELP ONE TO UNDERSTAND THE REAL MEANING.THIS TOPIC SHALL BE TREATED FOR ABOUT FOUR CONSECUTIVE WEEK FOR PROPER UNDERSTANDING.

DEFINITION OF SALVATION

The root word of salvation is "SAVE" and it can be translated in the various forms as the following:
      HEAL(mark 10:52) "Go" said Jesus,"your faith has healed you and immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road." Other verses that speak about this same heal can be found in mark 6:56,Acts 14:9,James 5:15.
        AS RESCUE FROM PHYSICAL DANGER We can cite an example from the
time God recured Daniel from Lions den(Dan 6:27).More verses can also be found from Mattew 8:25,luke23:39,Acts27:20-31,Hebrew 5:7
       AS RESCUE FROM PERSONAL ENEMIES A good example of this kind can found from Psalm 18:3-6 where God recured David
         AS DELIVERANCE FROM POLITICAL OPPERSSION A typical example is what happened to the people of Isreal when God librated them from the hands of egyptians(Exodus 14:13-30) We can talk the same thing about salvation from the enemies who were invading Canaan(Judges 3:9-31)
         AS DELIVERANCE FROM SIN This is the greatest thing that one can have or experience in his/her life time and that is where we going to dual more on.We shall first consider deliverance from sin in the Old Testament and later in the New Testament.After that we expantiate on " God as the source of salvation" ,"The process of salvation" and "Our relationship to God's salvation".
      GOD AS THE SOURCE OF SALVATION
God as source of salvation can be seen from His provision and leadership with the people of Israel.He saved them from the hands of their enemies and as such they attributed the word savior to Him(Exodus15:1-2, 1chronicles16:35,Psalm25:5).God also promised world wide salvation in Isaiah 49:6 that says "I will also make you a light for the Gentiles,that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth".Other verses that emphasis this promise is from Psalm 67:2,Isaiah 52:10.
When we take a look at the New Testament we see the promise coming through
as "christ as Savior.Jesus christ is the savior in (Luke 2:11) which fulfilled the promise I said above.He saves his people from sin(Mattew 1:21,Acts 5:31,Titus 2:13-14)Jesus saves the lost(Luke 15:3-10,19:10).He is the one who saves the world
(John 3:16-17)"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemned the world, but to save the world through him"
