76th Academy Awards Trailer Shipped to Locations Nationwide
Beverly Hills, CA - For the next two months, movie fans across the country will have the chance to see a special one-minute trailer promoting the 76th Academy Awards ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, February 29.
Set to the hip hop sounds of "Hey Ya" by Outkast, the trailer features a variety of clips from previous Oscar(R) telecasts and red carpet moments featuring some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez and this year's host Billy Crystal.
The trailer will be shown on 14,000 movie screens throughout the United States, including AMC Theatres, Loews Cineplex Entertainment, Regal Cinemas, Carmike and Cinemark, among others.
In addition, 5,000 Blockbuster and 138 Best Buy retailers nationwide will showcase the trailer on their in-store monitors.
United Airlines, which is the official airline sponsor of the 76th Academy Awards, will show a version of the trailer on all domestic and international flights in the month of February.
The 76th Academy Awards trailer was produced by Kenji Thielstrom of the Hollywood-based company Alkemi Entertainment.
Eastman Kodak donated the film stock and Deluxe Laboratories the processing services for the trailer's production.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2003 will be presented on Sunday, February 29, 2004, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland and televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST, beginning with a half-hour arrival segment.
