If you haven't ever seen the show South Park, then you are missing out on one of the funniest show on T.V. today. These four kids are best friends: Kyle, the Jewish boy; Cartman, the fat-ass; Kenny, the boy who dies in each episode; and Stan, the boy trying to get his crush to like him. The episodes, however profanic, are side-splittingly funny, and so is the movie.
The movie begins with a song about the Podunk redneck mountain town South Park. We soon learn that the kids are going to see the new Canadian movie Asses of Fire, starring the fictional Terrance and Phillip.
Long story short, the movie "warps their fragile little minds." After the show, Kenny tries to light a fart on fire, and is incinerated. Soon enough, their parents (specifically Kyle's mother, Sheila Broslofski, known to cause a lot of trouble this way) start a war with Canada. As well, the stars of the film will be executed at an USO show.
All hell breaks loose. Literally. Saddam Hussein (only six weeks after having been killed by a pack of wild boars) comes back to Earth with his gay partner, Satan, when "the blood of the innocent" is spilled. Things only get worse from there.
It is up to the children to stop the war and save the day, in their own warped, profane way. Can they do it?
How could a movie as vulgar - the most vulgar movie ever made, animated or live action, according to the Guinness Book of Records - as South Park earn an Academy Award nomination (For best original song)?! It's hard to believe, but it happened. Not only that, but the song was performed at the Oscar ceremony!
It may be hard to see at first, but South Park's songs are original, unique and funny. If you can look past the profanity, you'll see what I mean.
The film even has a moral message - albeit clouded by all the profanity. It never points out the message, but we can see where it is going. have movies gone too far, or have protests against movies gone too far? Maybe the film is crude, rude, and altogether bad, but see it for yourself and judge. I bet you not one of the people protesting the film have seen it.
Plot:

If you don't know of the characters from the show, that's OK; you can enjoy Bigger, Longer & Uncut anyway.
One negative about South Park is that it is a short film. It could have been longer, and featured Kenny with his friends more before his untimely demise.
Animation:

South Park is notorious for having animation that looks like it was made out of craft paper (in fact, the first episode was!) but that has no bearing. It's the animation that adds to the feel of the movie. It's unique, and now classic, and looks funny to boot!
Sound:

The songs in the film make this a great musical. It's no wonder, because the song "Blame Canada" was nominated for an Oscar. The song was sung live at the Oscars (as all "Best Song" nominees are) by Robin Williams, which created a controversy over the profanity in the song. The "bad" words were tastefully edited out. Blame Canada lost out to "You'll be in my Heart" from the movie Tarzan.
Some of the others songs, like What would Brian Boitano do?, It's easy mmmkay, Saddam Husseins song I can change or the all-songs medley La Resistance are wonderful, creative and side-splittingly funny.
The voice acting is great, especially from Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who voice many of the characters, and the lady who voiced all the female parts, the late great Mary Kay Bergman. (Sadly, Mary Kay killed herself in November, 1999 after a long unknown battle with depression.)
Character Development:

Atmosphere:

This film is rude crude, and defiantly NOT for everyone. Some people will be offended, some will laugh their selves silly. Check it out before you judge it, please.
Realism:

Warrens Rating:

7.71/10Is the movie worth your time to watch?
