James Bond (Sean Connery) is sent to Turkey to retrive the lektor from the Russian consulate. However, SPECTRE is there waiting for him, with a few surprises sent by Blofeld himself, from Russia, with love.
In 1962, LIFE magazine printed a list of John F. Kennedy's ten favorite books, and cracking the list at #9 was Ian Flemming's From Russia with Love. Thus, "Cubby" Broccoli and Harry Saltzman decided to adapt the book for the big screen. Sadly, it would be the last movie JFK would ever see.
Desmond Llewelyn makes his debut here as the "Q" we all know and love. And yes, gadgets applenty! Mostly just a rigged brief case, but never-the-less cool!
In my opinion, this is the Bond that got the fans going. It was the most action packed yet, it had beautiful girls, gadgets (and Q!), a wicked fight scene on the train and the classic James Bond theme. Not my favourite Bond, but still highly enjoyable.
Plot:

More action packed than Dr. No, and bigger action scenes.
Visual Effects:

The exploding gas tanks were a nice touch.
Sound:

Love the song, "From Russia with Love," as well as the classic James Bond theme. The score is decent, too.
Character Development:

This one has less development than some of the other Bond films; most characters stay static.
Atmosphere:

The introduction of the opening "teaser" was a plus and is meant to drag you right into Bonds world. It works nicely, thank you. (Producers, take a bow.)
Realism:

Warrens Rating:

7.43/10Is the movie worth your time to watch?
