Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) needs an escort for the next week. In his sporty-type car, he stops ans picks up Viv. He then takes her to his hotel room, and procedes to explain to her what he wnats to do. He offers her $3,000 to be his escort for the week, and she accepts.

Viv starts the next day all wrong: She try's to get clothes from a fancy store, but they promptly throw her out. Even the hotel she's staying at isn't very accomadating. But, with the help of some hotel employees, she purchases very nice clothes from another shop, and then goes back to the shop that threw her out and socks it to 'em.

Meanwhile Edward, and his partner Philip Stuckey (Jason Alexander) are trying broker a major takeover deal, which is cutting into the time Viv has with him.

At night, Edward takes Viv everywhere, and soon people get suspicious. Eventually, it is found out that she is a prostitute. Edward's partner, Phil, tries to take advantage of the situation. While alone with Viv in the hotel room, he tries to get sex out of her, but she won't. then he tries to force her (rape) but Edward comes to save the day.

By the end of the week, Viv has fallen for Edward, but has he fallen for her?

Pretty Woman is a sentimental favourite. It teaches that prostitues aren't just meer sex objects, but are human beins, and have feelings regardless if they don't like what they do or even if they do.

Julia Roberts is sensational in Pretty Woman. She will absolutly blow you away with her performance, which is why she earned an Academy Award Nomination for Best Actress.

Plot:
The story is interesting; prostitute falls for wealthy guy. Creative.

Sound:
There are not many songs, but sounds are still average. You can't go wrong with Roy Orbison's Oh, Pretty Woman. It's a classic.

Character Development:
Viv starts out as a prostitute, ends up with Mr. Rich. Edward is means and rotten (at his job anyway) but softens as the flick goes on.
