Lt. Harris (G.W. Bailey) is, yet again, out to wrestle controle of the Police Academy away from the beloved, bumbling Commendant, Eric Lessard (George Gaynes). As it turns out, Lessard is too old to continue being Commendant and is forced into retirement. Meanwhile, Lessard has won an international award, and he is to attend a ceremony planned in his honor in Miami Beach.

Our Favourite heros Hightower, the tall monster (Bubba Smith); well-endowed Callahan (Leslie Easterbrook); sound effects master Jones (Michael Winslow); gun fanatic Tackleberry (the late David Graf); tiny voice Hooks (Marion Ramsey) and CMDT Lessard's nephew, straight man Nick (Matt McCoy), accompany Lessard to Miami beach.

Along the way, Lessard's buffle bag is mistakenly switched with one containing stolen diamonds, and the crooks responsable will stop at nothing to get back the bag back into their hands.

Capt. Harris and Lt. Proctor make the journey as well, only to try to embarras Lessard any way they can, and at any cost, if only to get him thrown out of the Academy for good.

Harris will get Lessard thrown out, and the crooks will get the diamonds back. ...That is, unless Commendant Lessard gets the better of them!

Personal Comments

ThisPolice Academy is just really bad. It has some funny moments. I'll give it that. But Janet Gretzky? Come on, can't she find a decent role than one in a Police Academy film? The wife of Canadian ledgend Wayne Gretzky, in a Police Academy movie? That alone make's it bad.

On the bright side, Capt. Harris has "dork" sun burnt into his chest!

the high-speed sea-doo chases near the end are pretty good, but on top of that there is not much else, I'm affraid.

Plot:
A different plot than the "train new caddets" theme, which is a plus.

Visual Effects:
Nice boat chase.

Sound:
The Police Academy theme always give this catagory a boost.

Character Development:
None. Absolutly none.

Atmosphere:
Maybe a bit harder to get into without Steve Guttenberg, but you'll still love it... if you've loved the others.

Realism:
