With no one to turn to, Billy calls up his Mother, who decides to send Billy a lawer - His cousin Vinny. Vinny (Joe Pesci) has been practising law for six years, but has only passed his BAR exam six weeks ago.
Vinny, with his leather-clad girlfriend (Marisa Tomei), arrive in the small Alabama town to the stares of a lot of the locals. You see, Vinny is from New York City, the heart of Yankee country.
Having not worked a trial before, Vinny makes a mockery of the Alabama leagal system by pissing off the judge (Fred Gwynne) more than once and is thrown in jail for contempt three times. But, when things are looking their darkest, Vinny helps in making things even darker for the two murder suspects.
But Vinny knows that he was called to help his cousin, and that is exactly what he is going to do help. And he is going to do everythng he can tos ee that two innocent men are not executed.
My Cousin Vinny is a funny courtroom comedy. Joe Pesci is great as cousin Vinny, and Marisa Tomei is even better as the leather-clad girlfriend who knows next to everything about cars. It's this knowledge that led to her Oscar, and it's this that helps make this a truely funny comedy.

Very funny, and unique!
Visual Effects:

Sound:

All of the songs are awesome, but the only flaw is the cheesy music when Vinny wins the case. (Don't you just hate cheesy music?)
Character Development:

There isn't too much character development in My Cousin Vinny; the only mjor development is that Vinny starts to become a half decent lawyer.
Atmosphere:

You can really get into My Cousin Vinny right from the word go. the Music gets youinto it pretty quickly, and the plot is setup faster than normal.
Realism:

Warrens Rating:

The leather-clad girlfriend of Vincent "Vinny" Gambino, sent to help the two boys get out of their murder rap, Marisa Tomei plays the Brooklyn chick with class and flair. Her accent is perfect, and her Yankee demenour is spot on. The best part of her performance is her knowledge of the auto mechanics which help win the trail are superb.
Marisa plays Mona Lisa with a charm; she does a very good job of it, you had better belive it: she was the best one out of the whole crop of supporting nominees this year.
