Angie and I decided to take the dogs out for a potty break and for them to try out the agility obstacles. I was able to lure Jeffrey to walk across the A-frame with Bil-Jac treats they provided, but I don�t think Jeffrey was that interested in agility. In fact, he refused to jump over the horizontal jumps. I use the word �refuse� because the jumps are not that tall, only about 6 inches from the ground, yet Jeffrey kept tripping over them. I think he knows why I was luring him over it, but he probably thought if he acts clumsy then I won�t make him do more; I didn�t. We ended up just watching TJ and Angie. On the other hand, TJ is a natural at agility! Angie was able to lure him to do even the weave poles by having him focus on the tennis ball. |

The only obstacle that TJ couldn�t figure out was the tunnel. The trick for teaching tunnel is to lure the dog in a little bit at a time, or push the dog through the opening and have another person at the other end calling the dog. Angie was able to get TJ to stick his head into the tunnel when she places the ball near the opening, but when the ball was rolled all the way across, TJ couldn�t figure out where the ball went, and he tried to go under the tunnel to find it. Anyways, with some slower introduction, I�m sure he�ll figure it out in no time. |

The boys got to meet more visiting Springers. Later when Millie and Angie took Jeffrey and TJ out for a potty break, two people even came up to ask where the dogs went, so I guess they were quite popular at the event. Lee even came up to ask specifically about Jeffrey and if we got any perspective adopters for him from the event. |

Then we decided to go outside to the front lawn to get lunch under the tent. Millie and Angie got hotdogs, and I had ice cream. |
