We got outside and got next to the agility ring, we saw Angie coming toward us with TJ, her adopted Springer. TJs from Mid-Atlantic and 8 year old, very friendly and loves tennis balls. Angie also brought 50 baggies of dog treats as freebies for our table. |

Then Millie and I decided to both go outside together to watch the agility demonstration. As we passed through the building, we met a guy with a small Springer and a small Golden Retriever. They reminded me of Marys friend, Nics dog from last year (Marys a vet student who joined ESRA last after seeing our table, then she called us about evaluation for her Springer foster from the humane society, later she fostered Peter for a week for us), but I wasnt sure if that was him so I didnt say anything, but he recognized me. So Jeffrey also got to meet Jordan the Golden and Porter the Springer, Marys foster from the humane society, who got fostered and adopted by Nic. I got to evaluate Porter last year while he was being fostered by Nic, so it's nice to see him again, and Nic raved about how much his mom loves spending time with Porter. He said his mom wasnt a huge dog person before, but she loves how Porter just follows her around and when he left Porter with his mom for pet-sitting, his mom let Porter sleep on the bed with her! And she even asked Nic to just leave Porter with her. Millie was happy to meet them too because Golden and Springer are her favorite breeds.

Jeffrey being admired by a visitor. Jeffrey and TJ drew a lot of people to our table, and we got to talk to a lot of Springer lovers. Hopefully we informed people of the adopting a rescue option even when they only want a purebred dog. Interestingly, there were still some people who thought rescue groups makes money by doing what we do and that we are charging too much money for adoptions (selling the dogs in their opinion). |

After the agility demonstration ended, we all went back to the Anatomy Lab. Here is TJ and Angie practicing basic obedience among various distractions. They just finished a basic obedience class, and TJ is pretty good with it and focuses on Angie very well, considering all the people and dogs passing by. |
