This morning, as I was taking out the ear cleaner bottle and cotton pads and balls and turned on the floor lamp, getting ready to clean Tara�s ears, she actually came out from under the chair where she was napping, and walked toward me. I�m not sure if she actually saw the cleaning supply and still came toward me, or it was just a coincidence (maybe she thought I was getting ready to take her for potty before leaving for school), but at least she did not act scared and walked toward me by herself, right after I gathered the ear cleaning supply and turned on the lamp. Tara used to be scared whenever I brought out the ear cleaning stuff, but we�ve been working on counterconditioning for it. I would bring the bag of cookies out before I drag her out from under the table or chair, wash my hands, clean her ears, and she always gets extra special treats after I�m done. Although I�m not sure if she actually anticipated the ear cleaning today, I know for sure at least she�s not scared about it, compared to six months ago.

Pictures and updates of Kate: �Here are new photos, most taken today. Faith is doing very well, has become good friends with Bo and appears to have made a good adjustment. She gives us all a lot of exercise, running circles around Bo and me....very literally. She has found the river and has a swim every morning, freezing or not...we do rub her down quickly though. She is a sweet dog, seems quite happy and brings us a lot of fun.�
�(Kate and Bo are doing) Beautifully. Everybody is happy and active. They sleep side by side on a small rug by our bed and run in tandem when we go out to the old golf course. Bo follows Kate around and runs when she runs. We are over the hump.� In the picture, Bo�s the one in the front, and Kate�s the one in the back.
