Ringo was very good at the booth. He was friendly to all kinds of people and dogs. |
|
There was a Springer breeder there. They had a booth too, but I dont know what kind of booth they had. Anyways the breeder brought their two stock dogs over, and here is Ringo meeting the female. The breeder cant believe even Springers end up in shelters, and in such high number too that we need new foster homes all the time. |

Angie had her husband, Larry, bring Bella over, because she misses Bella a lot (a potential adopter is coming to see Bella later this afternoon and possibly take her home with them if it works out), and also we thought it would be cute to have a puppy there. Bella is very dog-friendly and wanted to play with the Boston Terrier at the Petsmart booth. The Boston Terrier is not neutered. Angie commented how many intact dogs there at the event. I couldnt believe at first either. I mean I know this is the South and like Millie said, many people here would spay their females but cant imagine neuter their males (dont they understand that it takes two to tango! And one loose male can impregnate many stray females; I do believe the owner of the father should be responsible too), but we never see this many intact animals at Woofstock, an event sponsored by the humane society in Auburn. The Montgomery Humane Society vet did say that they try to spay/neuter every pet before adopting them out, and Dr. Golden would do pediatric spay/neuter. So I guess they are trying. |

Millie asked one of the former adopters to come to visit. Lizzie, the liver/white female, is a former ESRA foster dog and got adopted to a family in the Montgomery area. |
