Tara
Bella sniffing outside of the vet clinic. Sunday, August 27, 2006
Just picked up Peter from Mary's.  Mary got him new bottles of fatty acid supplement, oatmeal shampoo, AND conditioning spray.  Not just some generic stuff, but brand name (Dermapet) stuff that they sell at vet clinics.  His skin looks great, dandruff almost gone, but Mary recommended not bathing him more than once a week.  I met them in the yard, and Huck bowed at Peter and play growled.  Peter just ignored him.  I asked Mary how he is with the cats now, and she said they are getting along fine, the cats stopped teasing Peter and he has ignored them back.  She said he's great in the house.  She said when she came home yesterday, he was scratching the crate, she said she feels bad about that because she had crated him more than normal in the last couple days.  But hopefully he'll be okay in the crate at my apartment.
In the picture is Taras lick granuloma.  Penelope used to have them too when I was spending extra time at school or on other animals.  Maybe Tara felt a little left out with all the doggie activities these two weeks.  I really dont think its from allergies.  So I just ordered some bitter spray that worked for Penelope too.  In the mean time, Im cleaning it daily and wrapping them so Tara wouldnt be able to lick them more.
And Tara has a lick granuloma on her right rear leg also.
Peters lump incision scar looks alright.
Peter got to my apartment around 11 AM and around 3 PM, I was talking to my sister on the phone, and Peter was walking around with leash on, and then I saw him peeing on the carpet.  I should've known, he had been drinking a lot of water, and what goes in will come out.  Then I took both dogs outside for potty, then tethered Peter to my waist as I cleaned the carpet with carpet cleaner.  Halfway through, Peter was standing behind me, Tara was near the doorway, then Tara lunged and barked at Peter.  When I turned around, I saw Tara sitting on top of Peter, I don't think he fought back (didn't hear growl or bark from him), but submitted immediately.  I have no idea what happened.  But I did check both of them thoroughly, and neither of them had any bite marks.  I then put Tara in the crate for timeout, and I finished cleaning up the carpet.  It was the same thing last time with Keely, they were doing great together (actually Tara did give a low growl when Peter tried to mount her), and then four hours into it, the incident happened.  And both times a few minutes before it happened, I was thinking that I need to take Tara out for a walk today (didn't do it the day before), so she would be sleepy enough that she wouldn't mind the other dog at all.  Anyways, they seem to fine together now again.
The picture is of Tara showing her tummy.
Peter does follow Anastasia around when she walks around, but ignores her when she's sleeping (even when she's sleeping on the livingroom chair, where he can reach her easily).  I think that he's just curious, I don't think he would attack her.
Ive been emailing Angie in Montgomery regarding fostering Peter, but she did not seem interested (thats even before I told her that Peter follows Anastasia around).  But rather she said the dog has to be totally cat-friendly because her cat, Kramer, is skittish.  So I asked her if she would like to foster a puppy instead.  She called and we talked a little bit and she said she will call Heather to ask what Heather thinks.  Later Angie called back and said she will take Bella tomorrow.  Angie emailed, I am excited and think it will be fine unless she tries to eat my cat or my cat tries to eat her. ha ha.  I just pray that I don't get too attached.  I am just telling myself that I am just baby-sitting for a little while.
Peters neuter incision is all healed also.
Peter doing the splits.  Both Peter and Bella reminds me a little of Lexi.  Lexi did the splits too when she lived with me (dont know if she still does at her home), and Bellas very pretty just like Lexi.
