Sally

Oscar: I have found a way to make Sally mad!  I will hide in my tunnel thing, and then be very still.  And when Sally walks by, I will suddenly shake in my tunnel.  Sally will get annoyed and just yeows at me!  It is really fun!  I have also found that when Sally sunbath on my window seat, I will quietly get close to her and pretend to sniff her tail.  She will get annoyed too, and tries to bat me with her paw!  Ha, I am having fun messing with Sally all the time!

Oscar: Sally went to the vet today because she hasnt been eating on her own at all.  Mommie still feeds her can of AD plus some Cat Sure the older cat milk supplement mixed together.  They went to this new vet just to try it out since we didnt like the other one.  At this time, Sally weights 5lbs, she did lost a lot of weight ever since we moved down here.  The vet suggested 2 things for Sally, either put her down right now or do some tests.  Mommie talked to auntie and decided to do some tests.  The vet collected some urine and some blood work.  The vet also put Sally on more fluids and some vitamin.  The vet said that one of the kidney (right side?) is small than her other side (left?).  The vet did say that having both hyperthyroidism and kidney disease, if that is the case, would be hard to treat.  The vet told mommie the results will be back on Monday morning, and then they can decide on what to do.

Oscar: This is the email mommie sent out to everyone today.
This is an email just to inform everyone, Sally has been not eating on her own at all since the last week of March.  I took her in to the vet in April 1st, down here in LA.  The vet did bunch of tests and told me that one of her kidney (I think it is the right side) is a lot smaller than her other side (left?).  The vet also put Sally on more fluids (injection?) and some vitamins etc when we were there.  The vet also suggested increase take on AD just for now.  The vet called this morning, April 3rd, telling me Sally is anemic, she has severe kidney problems.  It will be very difficult to treat along with her hyperthyoidism.  All the vet can do is put Sally on more fluids try to make her feel better, but she wouldn't blame me if I decide to put Sally to sleep because the way her disease has advanced.  I have decided to put Sally to sleep because she just doesn't look happy anymore.  She used to sit on the window seat in the morning and just enjoy the sun.  She hasn't done that for a few days now.  She just looks at me with her sad little eyes.
I have made an appointment with the vet to put Sally down on Tuesday, April 4th at 9:15am.  Then, I will take her body to LA Pet Memorial Park in Calabases to be cremated.  I had already picked out LA Pet Memorial Park last week when I did my round of cremation search.
Sorry for this late notice.  I have been extremely sick the past week.  I have severe inflammation in my throat.  Went to the doctor today, and got some anitbiotics and some cough syrup.  Anyway, that is the update from my end.  Oscar will be going with me to say good-bye to Sally.   I am not online much due to my sickness, and I am not able to speak on the phone either becuase I lost 80% of my voice from my sickness.  Please keep Sally in your thoughts.  I know she hasn't been with me for very long, but I will miss her.
Auntie Kellie also came by for a visit today.  She petted Sally and gives Sally a little brown toy mouse.  I tried to get the mouse from her, but she says it is for Sally.  So I pouted and walked away, and wouldnt let her pet me.  Auntie Kellie also held Sally as a baby and just petted her head.  I think Sally really likes auntie Kellie.

Oscar: This morning around 8:45am, mommie packed Sally and me up to go to the vet.  Mommie requested the same vet again, Dr. Brenda.  When we got to the examination room, there was a yellow-stripped kilt like pattern blanket already on the table.  Mommie put both of us on the table and told me to say bye bye to Sally.  I looked at her and looked at Sally, and looked away.  Mommie says she thinks I know, I just do my things my way, aka-sending OSP to Sally.  Dr. Brenda explained to mommie that the whole thing takes about 10 minutes, which includes the time to wrap Sally up in her blankets.  Mommie told Dr. Brenda she would take Sallys body to this crematory place she already picked out.  Dr. Brenda asked mommie what she wanted with Sally, mommie said the blue imitation lambs wool that auntie had sent over just for Sally and the toy mouse that Auntie Kellie brought over yesterday.  Mommie told Dr. Brenda she cant look because, well, she cant deal with dead animals.  By the way, last time my goldfish died, mommie had used a plastic spoon to get the fish out of the tank!  Mommie says she is afraid to touch dead animals like that.  Oh yea, Dr. Brenda also said that the eyes would be open, so if mommie look, then dont be scared.  Mommie said she wouldnt.   Anyway, around 9:45, Dr. Brenda and the assistant, Michael, brought back Sallys carrier, and a box.  It is a Science Diet box.  It was quite small.  Dr. Brenda said they had tucked Sally in her curled up position, put her mouse in there, wrapped in blue blanket and then another blanket.  Then Michael helped mommie to the car carrying the box and Sallys carrier.
