Oscar: Mommie had found by accident, a book call Barkely, it is about this English Springer Spaniel dog going on a trip with his owners. Anyway, auntie wanted the book, so mommie drove to the bookstore that was doing a signing. Mommie sat through the talk he had, which was pretty funny. Although I don�t see how that can be, how can any talk about dogs be interesting!
Oscar: Mommie talked to the author, Al Martinez, who is a columnist for LA Times. Mommie told him about the rescue work auntie does with English Springer Spaniel. Then she showed him a picture of Penelope, my cousin/sister the English Springer, then showed him a picture of Penelope and ME (!) from several years ago taken with Santa Clause. Mr. Martinez put the photo of Barkely and Penelope next to each other, and said they do look alike. Mommie talked to his wife, too, they are both really nice people. Hey Penelope, say hi to Barkely for me!
