About three days later, I decided I would try to bath Louie to get rid of dust and outdoor smell. It took awhile since I was by myself. I only wet his back and legs shampooed a bit with Buddy Shampoo. He would just jump out every time I had to change water temperature or trying to adjust him. I was real careful not to get anything else wet. I dried him with towels and some blow dryer. |

My cat?s vet had said if I need to bring Louie in for a check up on the neutering she could do that for me free of charge. Later that night, I noticed a flea. So I put some Advantage on him. My sister had suggested Capstar, an immediate de-flea medication which I can purchase at vet?s. |

The next morning, after calling 4 vet places, I purchased Capstar at the vet. Louie continued to live with me in my bathroom. I had clipped Louie?s nails around this time. At nighttime, I would have my cat with me in my bedroom with the doors shut so Louie could roam around in my living room and kitchen. |

After my sister came to CA, she gave Louie a bath on December 23, 2004. I helped with the bathing and cleaned his ears. We put more advantage on Louie after that. Louie got along with both my cat (girl name Oscar), and my sister?s cat (girl named Anastasia). Neither Oscar nor Anastasia like Louie. But Louie would just ignore both of them. Oscar tends to chase and hiss at Louie while Anastasia would just hiss at Louie and stare at him. |

We ended up leaving Louie at the shelter on the morning of December 25th because we had to leave town. On December 30th, we came back. My sister decided to purchase a larger cage for Louie. At that time, Louie figured out how to open the cage with clips on. Louie had gotten really dirty walking around the shelter so he received another bath from my sister. My sister also cleaned his ears. |

I decided I would bring Louie to the shelter every morning and get him back to me every evening. Louie still didn?t really ?hang out? with Oscar. Around 1 week of January, I started letting Louie out while Oscar eats. I wanted Oscar to associate Louie with good things. Oscar continued to hiss and chase Louie. Louie would just sit and watch Oscar. Louie is also getting more active by playing with toy balls. However, I noticed since he is half blind, he is a bit slow in his reactions. |

Around the 1st week of January, I was notified about someone interested in Louie. I was a bit reluctant since I had wanted a second cat. But since Oscar is not getting along with Louie, it is an iffy situation. The person interested in Louie had been with the shelter awhile. In January 10th, 2005 Louie?s future mom came to visit him. I asked her a few questions and told her I would let her know. On January 12, 2005, I visited the potential mom?s home to do a home check. She had already purchased some things for Louie including food, litter, etc. I talked to my sister later on and agreed that person would be a good mother for Louie. I then called Louie?s new mom on the night of the 12th and left a message about Louie. Louie is going home with her new mom on January 14, 2005. |
