In early November, I saw Louie again with a blood ear and one cloudy eye.  At the time, I didn?t have any cage to trap him.  So I decided I would trap him later.  Louie wouldn?t have come to me anyway.  In Thanksgiving week, I saw Louie again.  This time, the ear has healed but the eye was still cloudy.  I still didn?t have anything to trap him so I decided I would trap him next week if I see him.  At this time, when I called him he would come with me.  He still didn?t accept my food and water though.
Story:
Louie was first seen around July 2004.  I see him every few days walking around.  He was even seen once drinking out of a birdbath at a yard.  I continue to see him every few days.  I tried to feed him some food and water but he never took any from me.  I did let me pet a little bit.  But he didn?t come to me when I called him.  Louie did not get along with a neighbor?s cat.  Once awhile I would hear hiss and cat scream by my window.
Around 5pm, I put Louie in the carrier again to take him to my vet.  Right before we were about to get into the car, the carrier?s door accidentally opened.  Louie jumped out.  I freaked out.  But I called him to come, and he came back to me so I put him back into the carrier again.  I then drove to the vet?s place and have the vet check him out.
I didn?t see Louie again until two weeks later in early December 13th, a Monday.  I saw him and I called out to him.  He would come to me and let me rub his belly.  The eye was still cloudy at this time.  I didn?t have any cage so I emptied out my laundry hamper and put Louie in it.  To prevent Louie from coming out, I put two pieces of duct tape on the cover.  I ended up borrowing a normal carrier in order to take him to a vet.
At the vet?s place, I was told that his right eye seem to be healing but he will always be 2/3 blind.  He seemed to be a healthy male, but needed to be neutered.  So I left him at the vet?s place to be neutered that night.  I called later Monday night and was told he was doing well and was tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
I picked Louie up on Tuesday evening.  I was told not to give him a bath for a week in order for the stitch to heal.  The vet also wanted the adoptive parents to give him shots since I had already spent a lot of money.  The vet said if the parents are willing to spent money, then they probably will be more caring.  The vet prescribed Lysine as anti-viral medication.  Louie is supposed to take 500mg of Lysine each twice daily with meal.
Oscar: You tired of the story yet?  There is more.  I don't think it is fair that mommie wrote a story about Louie.  But she never wrote a story about ME!  I am her own, or should I say she is mine!
Louie came home with me on Tuesday evening.  I gave him some wet food to go with his Lysine and some dry food.  He seemed to be eating well and enjoying being inside.  I gave him water, food, litter box, and some music.  At first, I gave him the Yesterday?s News litter, but he peed on the floor.  So I switched to ordinary clay litter and he used it fine.  About 3 days later, I switched to Yesterday?s News and he used it fine.
