Keely
Rebel and his parents. Lexi and her parents.
Just before class started, Karlene came over to pet Keely.  Keely enjoyed the petting but still was a little scared, shivering, but she leaned on Karlene's legs, so I think she enjoyed it too.  Karlene said Keely seems to feel more comfortable in the store.  Karlene brought her son, T.J., to class.  He's 10 or 11 years old, at least 5 foot tall over 100 lbs, so he's grown-up looking.  At the end of the class, TJ wanted to pet Keely, so I pushed her over.  She didn't mind his petting at all, in fact, she actually took two steps forward after TJ had been petting her for about 30 seconds.  Karlene said, "Maybe she needs a boy of her own."  I think so too.  Keely seems to be friendier with the male humans in the class.  With the moms, she would be curious and sniff them sometimes, but with the dads, she would go over, look at them, paw at them even sometimes, getting them to pet her (they always do).  Im sure Keely will be a very good Daddys Little Girl for somebody.
Gemma with cap and gown.  One of the dads said Gemma is the valedictorian of the class!  (Gemma has CDX title.)
After being very good with the dogs in class in the past six weeks, Keely actually barked at two of the shoppers' dogs in class last night.  One was a Husky and the other was a Chow.  When Keely barked, she got Lexi and Rebel barking too.  Karlene commented, "She doesn't seem to like the puffy dogs."  Lexi and Rebel also barked at other shoppers' dogs a couple times during class too, a Shih-Tzu even got loose and tried to attack Lexi (Lexi was probably giving him a dominant stare right before the attack).  This time Karlene didn't jerk this leash when the dogs barked.  So I think she's not in as much physical pain as last week.
Anyways, Lensey and Brad met me at Opelika's Petco last night and gave me all Jackson's stuff, even his bowls and one of his new collars, a big bag of Purina Beneful dog food (reduced calories formula, Jackson needs to gain weight, so I dont know why they are feeding him reduced calories formula), Beggin Stripes treats, a spray can of Stay Off (it has a scent that makes animals want to stay off the area it had been sprayed; I wonder what they used this for?), the rubber bone I gave him two weeks ago and the almost full jar of treats I gave him (I guess they didnt feed him a lot of treats).  I asked Lensey if she wants his bowls back, and she said no.  They didn't give me back all the records, luckily I had copied them two weeks ago.  So Jackson's records from Opelika vet are all there in his folder that I gave to Karen today.  But there's only one itemized sheet from the Tuscaloosa vet.  I thought I would have to give him a bath last night, but no, he was exactly as I had left him two weeks ago, even smelled the same, of the baby powder scented shampoo.  Acted the same also.  Jackson is still as sweet as ever, jumped into my car right after he got out of Lensey and Brad's.  Keely happily sat in the front passenger seat while we drove back from Petco, while Jackson sat in the backseat, his leash tied to the door handle (sometimes he like to snuggle with the driver).
At my apartment, he just wants to snuggle all the time.  He just closed his eyes and relaxed whenever he gets to put his head on my lap.  Keely did not like the new addition (see the photo).  She growled softly on and off for 30 minutes.  I could just imagine her saying, "I'm the princess, this is not fair, when is he going home?"  But I just left her alone and she got over it eventually.  I called Heather to ask her what should we do about Jacksons records from Lenseys vet, because theres hardly anything on it, we couldnt even tell what kind of heartworm medication he had.  Heather asked me to call Lenseys vet the next morning and have them fax his records to her, and she asked me how Jackson is (I told her he appeared to be a little excited, but not out of ordinary, so I dont think hes extra nervous in new situations).  Heather also was concerned about Jacksons potty training, and she said maybe I could call the Opelika vet to find out if Jackson messed up his kennel when he was there, but I really dont think they would remember him and I told Heather so.  Lensey and Brad also gave me a half jar of peanut butter, I guess they used it for the Kong (which they did not give me).  However, when I saw that the label on the jar says it had expired in May 2005, I threw the jar right away.  But I did give Jackson the rest of the Beggin Stripes.  Jackson drank a lot of water while at my place, about one and half cups every three hours.  I was too lazy to take the crate from the closet, so I just tied him pretty much to the treadmill the whole time.  So three hours after he got to my apartment, he peed on the carpet.  I don't think he was marking.  I yelled at him to stop and he looked sheepish and did (reminds me of Jake).  I took him outside to pee.  He did it again about four hours later when I woke up in the middle of the night to do chores because I couldnt sleep.  Both times I really think he really had to go after being excited and drinking so much water, and I just dismissed the signals.  After that, I took him out whenever he
started pacing.  We ended up going outside every three hours or so.  He also pooped three times in the 12 hours he was in Auburn, at no time he pooped inside my apartment.
I let Jackson use Keelys pink pad and my Springer blanket for the night.
