"We have been alternating treatments and it seems we have things under control once more...  we'll see what happens as we re-enter flea season.  This year we are determined not to be taken by surprise."

"Jake is great!.  He seems to be settling down in his middle age.  He often walks long portions of our early morning walks off lead.  He is the sweetest guy with us and with both Rocky and Sham."

"Thank you so much for thinking of Jake.. and us.  We are saving Jake's cake for Thanksgiving (and hopefully with some leftovers for a day or two beyond).  He is really doing well.  Our early morning walks have turned into great running romps for him.  When folks ask how far Jake and I walk each morning I tell them I walk two miles and Jake runs about four.  He has truly settled into his middle years with a wonderful combination of energy and willingness to follow command.  The combination makes it quite fun to take him places.  I am afraid that he has decided to become Kate's dog leaving me the roll of 'Alpha non-grata'."

"(Jake) is doing great.  I worked at home yesterday preparing for a presentation and he and I had a boys day together."

"Jake celebrated the day with a morning bath after rolling around joyfully in a large pile of doggie doo!  Then he had breakfast.  Hope your day was fun in a different and less fragrant way. Many thanks for making Jake a part of our lives."

"Jake and I just wanted to say Hi after our morning romp."
"Sham would not come in from the snow.  Rocket, on the other hand, decided the wood stove was a better alternative."

"Look, Snow!  and Jake loved it!  Keeping in mind, of course, that Jake loves just about everything and everyone. What a romp he had this morning!"

"We're both working hard but really enjoying our small breaks from the routine. As you can see, Jake is doing great and certainly not over-worked."

"You are and will always be Jake's and my hero.  The amount of heart you are willing to invest (and risk) is quite amazing.  We live a life blessed by your kind heart.
Jake is in snoozing with Kate.  She has a bit of a stomach virus and he has not left her side but for a few minutes today.  You should see MY dog with Kate.  It makes me smile and melts my heart."
