Jake
We left for the dog park at 7 AM this morning.  I had realized overnight that one mistake I made last night was chickening out of taking Gracie for a long walk before letting her into my apartment.
She and Jake ran around for the first 10 minutes or so.  Then Jake got more interested in fetching tennis balls instead.
At the dog park, it's 2 acres of fenced in area.  Jake was running around after we entered, checking the area out, with Gracie following behind him, then I saw that the back gate was left open.  That's the big gate where they let the riding lawn mower in, not the two sets of secure double gates at the front and at the side.  So I started running toward it, hoping Jake and Gracie wouldn't notice it before I did.  I was about 20 feet away from it when Jake slipped out.  I started freaking out, kept yelling "Jake!  Jake!"  For some unknown reason, Gracie was still running around as well, but instead of following after Jake, she kept looking at me, so she did not get out, and I quickly closed the gate.  I knew that if I just run after Jake, he would just run further.  I saw that he was running toward the edge of wood, and I kept calling his name.  After about 15 seconds, he came.  I told him good boy and petted him.
At one point, she even copied Jake and carried around a tennis ball for about 5 minutes (there are about 10 balls in the park).
All Gracie wanted to do was following Jake around.
