Kate playing with Jake and Tara, with Lucy in the water. Tara even tried to go into the water herself. She seemed to have some experience with pools, as she walked down the steps, all by herself, and started swimming. But one of her back legs sudden went paralyzed and she started swimming in circles, and she couldnt get back onto the steps. So David had to pull her out. I didnt want Tara in the water originally, because she had a small bite wound on her ear also, but she went into the water before I could stop her. But after David got her out, she didnt try to go into the water again (but continued to follow Jake around). Craig also showed Kate some of the plants they have (Craig and Millie built the house from scratch). I even got to taste the figs from the tree they had in the back. I never tasted fresh figs before, they were very good. |

Then we went inside for afternoon snack. Heres Freckles sitting prettily. |

Heres everybody sitting down for snack. From the left front around the table are: David, Kate, John, Judie (another ESRA volunteer and foster mom from Birmingham), and Patty. The food was really good. Millie made chicken salad and deviled eggs, and Judie made brownies and an orange peel dessert. |
